This bolt is supposed to keep the chain from wrapping around the gypsy
however, it just stopped working. Bob replaced it with another one that
was larger and added some nuts to it with the hopes of making it a
bit stronger....no! In fact, it bent on the first try....oh well, we will
figure something else out!
The bottom of our boat was filled with barnacles which slowed us
down tremendously while traveling....so...
Bob took the jump!
and boy was he cold!
As you can see, Bob must be doing a good job
Look at all those little critters on his glove
Originally we thought we could get away with just
doing the props....but come to find out....they weren't that bad
so he had to resort to cleaning the bottom of the boat!
Critters everywhere!
It took him about an hour and a half but he finished....
so off we go at 11 a.m.
Fun on the water!
Out in the middle of no where....I tried to find it on the internet
but couldn't
Great day for fishing!
Do you see the bottom here?
Well you shouldn't! We just ran aground....there was a
shoal there and we didn't see it until we ran up on it...
This happened at 1530 (3:30 p.m.) and we are just now getting
freed....1730 (come on Rachael, tell me what time that is!) 5:30 p.m.
So I just kept trying to get the perfect shot of a dolphin!
So anyway, we were supposed to make Fernandina but that's not going to happen. There is a beach 2 miles from here with lots of white pelicans on it, so we call it "White Pelican Beach"....that's where we will be staying tonight!
We have no complaints on how our day went; after all, it is 79 degrees out and the sun is a shining!!!!
I hope I'm not making you school teachers cringe on my punctuation!
Oh, and Candice, I'm trying real hard to use the right their(s), you're(s) and definitely(s)....let's keep in mind, it' been a long time since I've been in school....and for some crazy reason, my words just disappear or misbehave! :-)
