Enjoy our trip from Southport to Camp Lejeune!

is salt water....

We pulled anchor at 0650 this morning.  It was a very cool day and some very calm and very angry waters throughout the day.  I love these kind of days, the beauty is just too much sometimes!

We stayed another day due to the weather.  It was drizzling which isn't too bad, but the winds were blowing 22 sustained with gusts to 26+. 

 

We did finally make it out to dinner!  Wow, do they have some strange liquor law rules here!  I ordered a 2nd drink and the waitress told me I had to wait until I finished the first one, patrons were only allowed to have 1 drink at a time.  If you wanted a shot, you had to finish whatever you were drinking and then they would give you the shot.  I told the waitress I was ready for my 2nd drink, figuring I would finish my first one by the time she would finish making my drink.  She placed the drink on the table in front of me, so I grabbed my glass and finished my sip.....she said "oh please hurry, you have two drinks now" and she got all fidgety!  I finished it and handed it to her so it didn't appear as though I had two drinks sitting in front of me, not that she would have let me put it down anyway! But I will say the food was good, and!, I did laundry while we had dinner!  Bonus!

 

Tomorrow we head for Camp Lejeune!
