Camp Lejeune, NC 3/31/18

Enjoy our trip from Southport to Camp Lejeune!
These pictures were taken consecutively....
Cape Fear River was kind of angry today!

 Neighbor!
This is where two bodies of meet each other but
do not mix....the lighter blue water is fresh and the darker
is salt water....
 These pelican's are no dummies!
 Kayaker's!
There used to be a fake palm tree here, now there is a flag....
I love our flag, but I also loved the fake palm!
 Houses along the ICW

At least our giraffe is still there!

 Doing the oyster thing!

The new bridge is coming along well....

 Ocean side houses and condo's

There's the pink house on it's own little peninsula!

We've been in the Alligator-Pungo River
Bob has finally seen his alligator for this year!
 Where there's smoke there's fire...or industry?

You see the red maker to the right....we had to keep it to the
left of us ....do you see how close we are to land...whew!

Marker's to the entrance of Camp LeJuene
 Welcome to Camp Lejeune!
 We are his new neighbor's!
 Birds galore!
Sorry we didn't mean to disrupt you!
Our sunset

We pulled anchor at 0650 this morning.  It was a very cool day and some very calm and very angry waters throughout the day.  I love these kind of days, the beauty is just too much sometimes!
