Coinjock, NC 4/4/18

Happy hour on the pier of Coinjock

All snuggled up to the pier
 Ducks galore!
This guy meets us every year to throw the ball for him!
He's bringing the ball to Bob
Catch!  Look at him....he's ready to boogie!
He's bringing it back....but more importantly....
the house you see in the background can be rented out by
cruisers if they have some company that wants to come into
town and stay for a bit!  Good to know!
Someone drove by in a car and the pup isn't giving up the ball
because he needs to make sure this guy isn't trouble!
 OK...let's play!
 Looking southbound
 We had dinner here finally!
Prime Rib and boy was it good...I have to admit the beans
were wonderful also....butter and garlic...yummm...

We stayed another day since the weather was supposed to be crap!  The morning and early afternoon was pretty nice, windy, but sunny and warm as long as the sun was out.  Around 3 p.m. the winds picked up and blew 23 knots sustained and gusted at 31.  Glad we stayed.  Plan on moving again in morning...calm, sunny, cold (45 degrees) ....

Coinjock Marina, NC 4/3/18

We saw this hawk take off from one side to the other....
Who'd of thought he would of land next to a Bald Eagle!!
(There could be some controversy over whether this is a hawk
or an eagle....Bob is sticking with his decision...hawk....I personally
don't know! :-))
There's not much room left between him and us!

We just grabbed onto the dock here in Coinjock.  Every year we say we are going to stay here and have dinner, well guess what,!  this is the year!  We may stay tomorrow also, the weather looks pretty nasty, lots of Thunderstorms in the early afternoon, and rain, wind in the morning!

S of Alligator River - Derek's spot 4/2/18 (it was named that when D helped Bob bring the boat up from N.C.

Enjoy our ride down the Alligator River!

Closer view of the house from last night....
It's actually quite beautiful from the back...

Another duck blind....I'm glad Bob and I put our hands on the
new one last night!  This one may be a little tight!

I think this is a beautiful picture....
Bob is like "why are you taking a picture of that?"  I'm like,
"because it so beautiful with the different color rocks and the
pier sitting in no-where ville!"
 Spring colors.....
 Lonesome tree....
More and more spring in the air!
 Hobucken, NC
This is a perfect location for the U.S. C.G.
They have 3 different rivers they can get to from the intersection
Neuse, Pamlico, and Outer Banks!
 Coasties playing volleyball!

 Wild turkeys!
 Gobble, gobble!
 Aww...turtles...

There were 2 of these jet planes playing over head of us most
of the night....boy were they loud...but beautiful!

We left at 0800 this morning.  It was a beautiful day all around!
